'The Sonsbeek Suite (As The Distance Travelled By The Force Acting Is To The Distance Travelled By The Resistance)'
Leo Asemota presents the multifaceted project The Sonsbeek Suite (As The Distance Travelled By The Force Acting Is To The Distance Travelled By The Resistance), in three permutations; how-hard-and-how-far-and-how-long; how-far-and-how-long-and-how-hard; and how-long-and-how-hard-and-how-far? at the Kröller-Müller Museum and at Walter Books.
The pieces derive from Asemota’s observations of longstanding ideas and practices in the history of time and labour, drawing parallels to/departing from the organizational knowledge and strategies of ant colonies. He conceptualizes a new work in the gardens of Kröller-Müller, and he will also present an installation inside the museum. This installation of contrarious clocks calls to question Western logic(s) around time, as a matter that requires further discussion.
